Take a peek inside the Tight Club community, each week we’re checking in with one of our crew to learn what they get up to when they’re not slamming balls or crushing burpee challenges. These are the people that motivate you in class when sh!t gets real. From OG’s to newbies, here’s their inside scoop.
What is Tight in your life?
I would have to say my partner-in-crime, my husband. I can always count on him to be on board with an adventure, make me laugh and get goofy with me
Ball Slams. There's nothing more satisfying after a stressful day at work.
Something people might not know about you?
I'm a total hippie homesteader at heart. I have an garden in my backyard where I've been growing lots of veggies. And I've recently started making my own sourdough bread and kombucha.
What’s your favourite workout song?
I don't have a fave, but anything that keeps me motivated and forgetting that I'm sweating and out of breath. I love it when the beat is timed perfectly so you can get into the rhythm of the exercise.
What’s your spirit animal and why?
A monkey because I like to climb things and am slightly mischievous
Who would be your celebrity best friend?
Sarah Britton of My New Roots. I'm obsessed with her cookbook (it's a go-to for recipe inspiration).
Favourite way to procrastinate?
Peruse through cookbooks and food blogs and dream up what to make next.
What was the last thing you read?
When a Crocodile Eats the Sun by Peter Godwin
If you could go anywhere tomorrow, where would you go?
Bali! Actually I am going to Bali at the end of the week. I've always heard about how magical this island is and I've been wanting to visit and experience the amazing local food, swim with the manta rays and trek a volcano. Hopefully we will get to do all 3 this trip. And because of the alarming rate at which virgin rainforests in Indonesia are being slash and burned to the ground for palm oil production, I'm really hoping to see some of the few remaining orangoutangs in the world.
What does the tight life mean to you?
The tight life to me is the catalyst to living a more active, balanced and fulfilled life. It means being strong enough to do the things I want to do whether it's climbing a mountain or keeping up with my nephews.
What is your fitness goal?
To keep up with my husband in the backcountry. I'm hoping to get into ski touring this year and doing some multi-day treks so I want my body to be able to handle that and not break down.

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.
A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!
Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
