Take a peek inside the Tight Club community, each week we’re checking in with one of our crew to learn what they get up to when they’re not slamming balls or crushing burpee challenges. These are the people that motivate you in class when sh!t gets real. From OG’s to newbies, here’s their inside scoop.
What inspired you to take The Tight Life Challenge?
I'm a bit competitive with myself and the challenge seemed like a great opportunity to put myself through the paces and see how I did.
What did you enjoy most about your experience?
Meeting new people and sharing the experience together. Different people, different goals; but we felt like a team. Each class I looked forward to hearing how everyone else was doing.
What was the most challenging aspect?
No refined sugar, aka no Wine Gums. The struggle was real! Also the preparation of meals was challenging for me; but once I made a plan of cooking meals on Sunday it was much more manageable.
If you were to do the TLC again, what would you do differently?
I'd do more of the homework that Rachelle so generously provided.
What was your toughest training moment?
The toughest part was making the commitment. Once I did that, I was pretty good with everything else. Each time there was a new TC challenge I thought, "Next time I'll do that," and that went on for about a year. Starting in January 2016 was the perfect time for me; I was ready to commit.
Did anything resonate with you and really stick?
Mind over matter always wins. The "reward" for me was keeping to the plan and keeping my head in the game, so to speak. There were obvious health and fitness benefits, but what I really loved most about the 21 days was being true to my commitment.
Favourite snack while on the TLC?
Fruit. Fruit. Fruit.
What’s your signature move?
Anything but a burp; more specifically, "Beyonce's on Ice" with a side kick thrown in for good measure.
What is tight in your life right now?
Spending time with Gus, our 9 month old crazy puppy. He gets me outside rain or shine and we run on trails together. On a perfect doggie day, we'll take him snow shoeing; verybody Wins!
What’s your plan to keep up The Tight Life momentum?
To make the most of my one month unlimited pass and to stick to the healthy food groups as much as possible. I continuously refer back to the great information Carly provided in her weekly packets of healthy foods. Her green kale smoothie is my new morning ritual.
If you could go anywhere tomorrow, where would you go?
Do you have any new pre or post workout rituals since completing the TLC?
Pre: Make sure gym bag has plenty of gum in it. Post: 1 hard boiled egg and plenty of water.

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!
Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
