Take a peek inside the Tight Club community, each week we’re checking in with one of our crew to learn what they get up to when they’re not slamming balls or crushing burpee challenges. These are the people that motivate you in class when sh!t gets real. From OG’s to newbies, here’s their inside scoop.
What is Tight in your life?
Everything is pretty tight right now. I love my family and friends and I have a great job that challenges me every day. Recently, I’ve been making an effort to get outside after focusing way too much on work for a few years. I’ve been camping, swimming, biking, hiking and skiing again and it’s made a huge difference to my mental health. I’m so much happier and I really like myself these days.
Signature Move?
I wish it was something from RSVP33 class, but doing arm and leg choreography simultaneously is beyond me. I love alternating v-ups though, I could do them all day.
Something people might not know about you?
I’m turning 40 next year and I’m not sure if I’m excited or terrified, but I have six months to figure it out. Maybe I’ll have a crazy mid-life crisis!!
What’s your favourite workout song?
Probably when Beyoncé comes on towards the end of a workout. I saw her live in Toronto and now I’m a superfan. If Beyoncé can dance like that for three hours, I can do three more burpees.
What’s your spirit animal and why?
Teacup pigs! If you Google image search them, you’ll find one sunning itself in a lawn chair that really speaks to me.
Who would be your celebrity best friend?
I’ve been telling people that Claire Danes is my bff since we met once in 2014.
Favourite way to procrastinate?
When I’m not Google imaging teacup pigs, I’m Snapchatting or getting into some weird places on Instagram.
What was the last thing you read?
A Little Life by Hanya Yanagihara. It’s a heartbreaker – definitely read it, but don’t make the same mistake I did by reading it on the plane. I publicly wept my way to LA and back.
If you could go anywhere tomorrow, where would you go?
Lately I’ve been thinking a lot about Barcelona. Architecture, tapas, wine, beaches. Maybe a little layover in Paris after.
What does the tight life mean to you?
I admire the community that Keighty has created at Tight Club and it’s a huge part of why I keep coming back. I love being around like-minded people who want to be strong and healthy but who also sometimes indulge in beer and tacos. I’m doing the Tight Life Challenge this September and I’m really excited to start the fall with a reset and shake off some of those summer patio drinks.
What is your fitness goal?
For the past few months I’ve been working hard on a Kardashian butt but after seeing some of the track and field athletes at the Olympics I’m reconsidering my role models. I want to keep getting stronger and work on my cardio endurance.
Do you have any pre or post workout rituals?
I usually walk over from my office downtown. Crossing the viaduct gives me 15 minutes to take in the mountains and the city and leave work behind.
How do you treat yourself?
If there is a hot tub around, you’ll find my friends and I in it. Tub time is an important part of our lifestyle. If I can’t find a hot tub, I’ll settle for an epsom salt bath and an elaborate skin care treatment.
This summer my big plans are...
I started camping again and I’m really enjoying the challenge of tetris-ing everything we need into a backpack then getting away from it all. I always hated hiking because walking uphill sucks, but I’m getting better at it and actually enjoying it sometimes.
What's your favorite holiday?

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.
A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!
Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
