Tight Club Check In: Sarah Vingoe

Take a peek inside the Tight Club community, each week we’re checking in with one of our crew to learn what they get up to when they’re not slamming balls or crushing burpee challenges. These are the people that motivate you in class when sh!t gets real. From OG’s to newbies, here’s their inside scoop.

Meet Sarah.

Sarah Vingoe

What is tight in your life?

My life is mad tight right now. My friends are the best, my family is amazing, my job rules, my colleagues kick ass, I LOVE living in Vancouver, and my boif is the sh*t. I am constantly being challenged and feel so loved and supported. My heart is so full it feels like it might explode.

What's your signature move?

My signature move is hitting the pavement or the pool where I get me some good endurance in. My fave move in Tight Sweat and Booty Luv is defo the Beyonce. It might not look the prettiest when I do it, but I dig it.  

Something people might not know about you?

Something people might not know about me is that I was the shyest kid around when I was little. I would never go anywhere without my mom. She would stealthily try and sneak out of play dates but I would always catch her and need to be with her.  

At the age of 6 years old my parents sent me to overnight summer camp - this is when everything changed. I came back in dirty shorts over dirty long-johns, 2 braids that were falling out and had been in my hair for days, dirt on my face, and a new found confidence that was the opposite of shy. The rest is history... Oh and I LOVE a good pun!

What’s your favourite workout song?

My favourite work out song right now is "Clearest Blue" by CHVRCHES and my favourite work out song of all time is "Such Great Heights" by The Postal Service.

What’s your spirit animal and why?

My spirit animal is a laughing bear. I tend to have a strong sense of leadership, I am fierce in all the things I do, I take care of my own, and love to laugh and have a good time. When I picture myself as an animal I see a huge grizzly bear rolling on the ground laughing with tears in it's eyes. Ha!

Who would be your celebrity best friend?

**cheese alert** In my eyes, my besties are celebrities. They are stars in their own right, doing the most fabulous things, every damn day. They light up my life and bring me so much joy, a million miles away. I would not trade them for anyone!

Favourite way to procrastinate?

My favorite ways to procrastinate are crime drama's, social media, and sending hand written cards.  

What was the last thing you read?

The last thing I read was The Vacationers; I love me some good chick-lit.  

If you could go anywhere tomorrow, where would you go?

If I could go anywhere tomorrow, with money being no object and no vacay perimeters, I would buy an around the world ticket with my boif and hit the open air and travel the world in 3-4 months. I love adventuring and traveling and with my guy it would be the greatest of all time.

What does The Tight Life mean to you?

The Tight Life to me means balance. It means that all parts of my life are balanced and allow for optimal fitness, happiness and fun. I love Keighty's Tight Club Philosophy - I am training for real life! Meaning that if I wanted to try a new sport on Sunday, my fitness would allow for it. And that if I wanted to chug too many splashes of wine on Friday, I'd bounce back and get in a run with ease the next day. Balance and moderation create a tight life for this babe.  

What is your fitness goal?

My fitness goal is to complete the Bay Challenge - a 9K swim from Lighthouse Point to Kits Beach in August and to get the ole abs back in better shape.  

Do you have any pre or post workout rituals?

Pre Work out rituals - morning workouts call for a smoothie and DEFINITELY a coffee. Evening work outs call for hydration - I drink 2 litres of H2O a day. Post work outs are always better with an ice cold glass of white sauv or a cold crisp beer, but hydration is always the name of the game.

How do you treat yourself?

I treat myself quite regularly - maybe its bad but YOLO, man! I take myself out for dinner to Nook in Kits, I buy myself flowers, or I take my butt down to secret beach and take in a sunset. I am all about the little things and making sure to never take a day for granted.  

This summer my big plans are...

Long a*s swims, fun a*s adventures, shenanigans for days, working hard at work and learning tons, laughter with friends and family, sunsets any chance I get, volunteering at Camp Oochigeas in Muskoka, Ontario, and moments to cherish for always.

What’s a Rich Text element?

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
