Take a peek inside the Tight Club community, each week we’re checking in with one of our crew to learn what they get up to when they’re not slamming balls or crushing burpee challenges. These are the people that motivate you in class when sh!t gets real. From OG’s to newbies, here’s their inside scoop.
What is tight in your life?
All parts of my life are pretty tight right now! I needed to have a better life-work balance and have been making time with family and friends a priority.
What's your signature move?
I love a good squat-lunge-thrust combo. Adding some weights and a bosu ball to work on stability is my fav.
Something people might not know about you?
I went through my partying clubbing phase when I was 15-19. I also love to garden and preparing large family meals.
What’s your favourite workout song?
I don't have a favorite song, but anything with heavy bass and trap gets me going. Really into Flume & The Chainsmokers lately.
What’s your spirit animal and why?
I would totally be a horned owl - they are majestic and fierce; basically cats with wings!
Who would be your celebrity best friend?
Rihanna - I would probably fan girl her and just try to keep up all the time.
Favourite way to procrastinate?
Working out, taking time to make a big proper meal, and taking naps.
What was the last thing you read?
"Listen to the Squawking Chicken" by Elaine Lui - I feel like I am reading about my life growing up with an immigrant mother from Hong Kong. It's hilarious and her experiences are incredibly relatable.
If you could go anywhere tomorrow, where would you go?
New Zealand to visit one of my best friends in Wellington and road trip around the country with a camper.
What does The Tight Life mean to you?
The Tight Life means finding harmony in all aspects of life - being flexible to handle the different things that come up at work and in my personal life and not letting one stressful thing take over my life. Being adaptable and taking care of myself physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.
What's your fitness goal?
I honestly began working out again because I wanted to "target problem areas" but now I love feeling strong and being strong. I love that I feel much more energized now and I really enjoy being active (versus a few years ago when I couldn’t be convinced to get to the gym).
I find that being physically strong has helped me be more mentally tough and more emotionally balanced. So... my fitness goals in general is to feel and be better overall and keeping that up by pushing positive.
Do you have any pre or post workout rituals?
Post workout rituals include a huge delicious meal either made at home or at one of the awesome places near Tight Club - Fat Meow Noodles, The Union, or Ramen Butcher.
How do you treat yourself?
My self care day includes a work out in the morning, big brunch afterwards, leisurely bike ride or taking the dog to the park, massage, and a facial. I like to treat myself.
This summer my big plans are…
Exploring BC and hitting up camping, heading to Pemberton Music Festival, and doing an Okanagan Wine Tour.
What's your favorite holiday?
My favourite holiday is Vancouver Pride :).

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.
A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!
Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
