A few things you should know about me…

Chapter 1: Early Life

I grew up in the Comox Valley on Vancouver Island and spent most of my young life at the track. I dreamed of one day making it to the Olympics and that dream eventually led me to compete for the University of Oregon and Portland State University.

While I loved movement and competition, a lot of my experience in high-level sport was rooted in pressure and fear — and it ultimately shaped the way I wanted people to experience fitness differently.

Chapter 2: Tight Club and Vancouver

I started Tight Club Athletics in 2012 with one big goal: to change the way people experience fitness. I wanted movement to feel more welcoming, creative, connected, and fun.

Over the years, Tight Club grew into a beautiful studio and community in Vancouver. We built an incredible team and created spaces for people to move together through strength training, run club, bike clubs, retreats, and community gatherings.

Chapter 3: TCTV

When the pandemic hit, TCTV was born. What started as a way to keep our community moving from home eventually grew into a digital training platform with hundreds of classes — and honestly, some of the best work I’ve ever created.

During that same season, I made the difficult decision to close down the Vancouver studio and move to Ventura with my husband Harrison <3 It was a huge life shift, but also the beginning of a slower, more intentional chapter.

Chapter 4: Keighty's Cafe & Ventura

In 2023, I had a stroke and was forced to slow down in a way I never had before. For a moment, I thought my career in fitness might be over. But eventually, I realized I didn’t want to stop coaching — I just wanted to do it differently.

I started inviting friends over to my backyard for workouts and matchas, combining my love of movement, hospitality, and bringing people together. What started casually eventually became Keighty’s Café: small group strength classes and personal training rooted in smart coaching, fresh air, and good people.
